'You're a very sexy lady': Surinder Hundle, who allegedly seduced a patient, arriving at court today

A married dentist from the TV programme ‘10 Years Younger’ had sex with a patient then trapped her in a room for five hours to avoid getting caught by his ‘psycho’ practice nurse, a hearing was told today.

Surinder Hundle, 44, faces being struck off for initially seducing the woman on the couch of his exclusive dental clinic and at his marital home over a seven-year period.

The woman - a school teacher who is known only as Patient A - said the relationship began when Hundle told her during a dental consultation: ‘You’re a very sexy lady’ and ‘I wonder what it would be like to kiss that mouth’.

Hundle, a dental surgeon and former face of Oral B toothpaste, regularly features on the Channel 4 makeover show and has appeared on Tomorrow’s World and GMTV.

A fitness to practice hearing was told after meeting the patient in November 2000, they began to make regular appointments to have sex at the Lund Osler clinic, a stone’s throw from Harrods,

Its website states it is ‘the ultimate in time, privacy and luxury’ and will ‘improve your quality of life for years to come’.

Patient A claimed he had bragged about his roving eye and said he had an open relationship with his girlfriend.

She claimed she had no idea he was married until his receptionist told her his wife had just had a baby in 2007.

In September 2008 - by which time he was separated from his wife - she said he invited her for sex at his home and they were interrupted by his dental nurse with whom he was also romantically involved.

Patient A claimed that after their tryst at 1am in front of an erotic film she was told to stay in a dark bedroom for five hours because the other woman was outside.

She said: ‘He told me I probably would not be able to go to school the next day and that he might have to lock me in another room as it would not be safe for me, which really frightened me. He told me I must not use the loo or flush the loo or switch on any lights.

‘I didn’t know what to do I thought I could make things worse if I went downstairs and demanded to be let out.’

When she tried to creep downstairs around 4am, he barked: ‘I thought I told you to stay’ and admitted his dental nurse was outside.

She claims he told her: ‘I never promised her anything, I can have sex with who I want, I’m going through a divorce, she is a psycho’.

‘He told me to be quiet, he said I was to deny everything because he was going to deny everything.’  She eventually managed to get away at 6am.

On another occasion in 2006 Patient A said the pair were having sex in the reception area of his clinic when they were interrupted by a noise, and Hundle told her it was his wife, from whom he was separated, who he said was ‘stalking’ him.

She said: ‘We started to have sex on the sofa in reception area and he heard a noise which I didn’t hear and got dressed and went upstairs and looked out.  He told me to stand by the fire escape and gave me an ironing board to hold against the fire escape.’

Some months later, she was told by a receptionist at the surgery that the dentist was married and had just had a baby girl.

But she claimed he kept calling her to tell her of his fantasies while pleasuring himself and she was persuaded to return to the surgery for sex in January 2007 and on several occasions after that at the surgery and his home.

Sean Larkin, for the General Dental Council said Hundle’s behaviour had left Patient A ‘intimidated and vulnerable’.

After their final meeting at his home, she claimed he had put pressure on her to keep quiet about the relationship.

When she ignored his demands, contacting both the nurse and Hundle’s wife, he allegedly sent her a text saying her messages were ‘destroying his life’ and had ‘caused enormous damage’.

Hundle, who qualified from Manchester University in 1990, admits he had sex with patient A at his home on various occasions but denies sex took place at his surgery.

He accepts she came to his house for sex on September 24, 2008, but denies the incident with his dental nurse.

The dentist has accepted his behaviour was inappropriate but had not admitted that it was sexually motivated, or an abuse of his position.
