It is a combination difficult for anyone to pull off without looking tacky.

But at 53-years-old, Sharon Stone managed to look elegant in a pair of beige leather trousers teamed with animal print stilettos.

The actress stepped out in the stylish outfit for a quiet dinner with her mother Dorothy at Red O restaurant in West Hollywood last night.

By combining the more daring bottom half with a demure and covered-up top half, the famous blonde managed to make the ensemble look tasteful rather than over-the-top.

For the outing, Sharon went make-up free and swept her blonde hair back in a pony tail.

Ever since her appearance in erotic thriller Basic Instinct, Sharon has been known for her daring and sexy fashion choices.

And proving that she still has an enviable body for her age, she still looks as slim and toned as she did when she disrobed onscreen in the 90s.

Although her career has been less than high-profile of late, Sharon- who is best remembered for the Basic Instinct films as well as such blockbuster hits as Total Recall - has been as busy as ever.

Recently, the actress has appeared in several episodes of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, while she also acted as executive producer on the 2010 documentary film The Invocation.

Sharon also recently returned from a trip to Paris where she was promoting her new movie The Burma Conspiracy.

The movie, which is also known as Largo Winch II in France, is a French action drama which was shot mostly in Thailand.

It follows the successful film Largo Winch, which centred around a plot to unhinge the character of billionaire Nerio Winch.

The Burma Conspiracy is set for release in France and Belgium on February 16 although as yet there is no release date set for the UK.

Sharon is also set to star in Waco, based on the events which took place during the 1993 siege between the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and cult leader David Koresh.

In December Sharon also launched her own jewellery collection - The Maji Collection for Damiani, which includes rings, pendants, earrings and bracelets with profits going to Drop in the Bucket, a charity which works in Africa.

She has a long relationship with the Italian jewellers, having modelled for several of their campaigns over the years.

Sharon came up with the idea for the jewellery line herself and it has been four years in the making.

She has also designed a range of men's jewellery which she says was inspired by her close friend Elton John and his partner David Furnish.
