Many parents begrudgingly tag along to concerts and films featuring their children's favourite tween stars.

But when Alex Gerrard took her daughters to the Justin Bieber concert tonight, it looked as though she was the more excited fan.

The WAG was all smiles as she walked into the Liverpool Echo Arena with her daughters Lilly-Ella, seven, and Lexie, four.

The girls were cute in matching outfits - purple 'I love JB' jumpers, grey jeans and pink Converse trainers - but their mother refrained from wearing fan merchandise.

Instead, the 28-year-old opted for a burgundy blazer over velvet and lace leggings and black ankle boots.

Steven Gerrard's wife would have been relieved that the concert even was able to go ahead after pop sensation Bieber was left trapped in his hotel room for much of yesterday.

The 17-year-old Canadian singer was warned by police he could be arrested if he attempted to venture outside the Hard Days Night hotel, and charged with 'inciting a riot.'

Bieber was able to negotiate a brief appearance on his hotel suite balcony to greet the screaming fans.

Police earlier cordoned off the hotel entrance, holding hundreds of school girls - and their mothers - at bay.

One woman was led away by an officer who was seen giving her a stern caution.

Another young fan attempted to climb the hotel wall, while concerned hotel employees watched from inside.

He managed to get to the arena in time for the show tonight though, where thousands of fans were waiting to watch him in action.

However, he suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction when he came on stage with the fly of his jeans open.

Not that his fans seemed to notice as they screamed the venue down as the teenage heartthrob sent them into a frenzy with his energetic show.

'Showday in LIVERPOOL...home of the BEATLES!' Justin tweeted today.
