Grand National 2011: Joe and Carly Cole take baby Ruby to Aintree races
It might be the world's most famous steeplechase meeting - but all eyes were on Joe and Carly Cole and their gorgeous daughter Ruby at Aintree today rather than racing.
One-year-old Ruby at one point seemed to give a regal wave to the crowd as she looked down on the crowd from the VIP balcony - but she had probably just spotted a horse that she liked.
Joe had taken his stunning wife and equally beautiful baby girl as the two special females in his life to Ladies Day at the Liverpool racecourse on the eve of the Grand National.
Too cute! Little Ruby Cole appeared to wave to the crowd from the VIP balcony at Aintree today as she was held by her mother Carly
Doting dad: Liverpool star Joe had taken his two favourite girls to Ladies' Day at the Grand National meet - and at one point gave Ruby her bottle
Grand day out: Joe and Carly, far right, were guests at Aintree with Liverpool Football Club and the rest of the WAGs
In fact, the whole Liverpool team were enjoying a day in the sun in the stands - with the odd little flutter to add to the fun.
Other teammates of Joe enjoying the day out together with their WAGs included Glen Johnson, 26, Dirk Kuyt, 30, and Pepe Reina, 28.
However, the most famous WAG out on the day, local lass Coleen Rooney, was strictly having a girl's day out away from footballers and stuck with her gal pals.
Winner! The former Chelsea player and England star celebrates as his horse romps home first
Cheers! Ruby toasts daddy's success on the gee-gees with a celebratory swig of milk
On me head: Joe gives Ruby a kiss for luck before choosing a horse to bet on in the next race
Fitness trainer and model mother Carly, 26, looked stunning in a fuschia pink shift dress with patent nude strappy sandals.
Clearly besotted father Joe meanwhile looked suave in a grey suit with a pale blue buttoned up shirt - which hopefully he didn't get covered in milk when he fed darling Ruby at one point.
In fact, the pair are enjoying family life so much, they've revealed they're going to try for a little brother or sister for Ruby in a few months.
Little gem: Ruby is clearly the centre of her parent's world
Yummy mummy: Joe still looked very much in love with his beautiful wife too
Talking to this week's Closer magazine, Carly said: 'This summer we will start.
‘I’ve been very sleep-deprived, but Ruby’s my life now. We plan to have around four kids – or maybe three, we’ll wait and see!’
However, the former I’m a Celebrity contestant revealed that parenthood hadn't been all plain sailing so far, and that they'd had to call in a sleep expert for their daughter.
‘I tried and tried but Ruby just wasn’t sleeping. Because we’d moved I had no family around to help.
Team players: Liverpool stars Glen Johnson, Dirk Kut and Pepe Reina were out at Aintree today too
Daddy cool: Johnson was carrying a man bag sporting a picture of himself and his little girl
Ladies' day: Coleen Rooney was also at Aintree, having a giggle with her girlfriends
‘I was averaging three hours’ sleep a night – I was knackered. Ruby wasn’t sleeping at all, even during the day. If I put her in her cot she’d scream and scream’, Carly told the magazine.
After bringing in an expert though, Ruby is now able to sleep through the night and Carly says it has changed everything.
The family moved to Liverpool from London last July after Joe transferred from Chelsea to play for Liverpool - and judging from the pictures today, they're clearly life in the north west.
